what we do

Untapped Potential specialises in putting great candidates in front of you. This is not through the usual method of conducting interviews (most applicants are far too practised at them anyway).

what we do

Recruitment & Team Development

Helping you to create a top scoring team

At Untapped Potential we are using groundbreaking methods to recruit top performers who fit with your team and using coaching and mentoring skills we develop your existing senior team members into inspirational managers.

Recruiting the right people

Getting recruitment right is critical and bringing new people in to the team should take the team forward as new skills and abilities are brought to the company.

Relying on interviews to get this right is risky with statistics frighteningly showing that only 56% of new recruits work out through this accepted but out dated method.

We will show you a number of first rate candidates working co-operatively (but competitively) together in work related tasks.

Imagine a group of candidates engaged in a negotiation exercise and you will easily see who can negotiate and has the right skill level. How much more powerful is this than asking questions to establish their competence!

By working for several hours with preferred candidates rather than just interviewing them, you will get a much better idea of who will fit best with your organisation.

Developing your existing top players

Our guess is that you have not got a perfect or even consistent team; rather you will have a mixture of skills and abilities with some managers struggling to manage more than others.

Using advanced coaching and mentoring skills we work with teams to help them manage their reports much better. We use practical tools that enable managers to get staff to take more responsibility and move away from old fashioned "command and control" methods.

Coaching

Why coach?

All successful managers these days need to be an effective coach. In our opinion it is the most essential skill of all to be successful in a growing business that employs people.

What is the difference between coaching, managing and directing?

Managing and directing are also essential skills, but most leaders rely far too much on directing (telling and instructing) or managing (offering solutions) rather than releasing the potential of others. Most staff know the solutions to the problems they bring to their managers, but do not want to take responsibility if things go wrong.

In this arrangement the Manager is doing far too much of the work. No wonder so many feel under pressure!

What we offer:

Coaching for all managers.
Practical workshops for all who manage to get managers used to using coaching skills. They will become better managers and staff will also grow as they receive better encouragement and development from their managers.

Individual coaching.

As Chairmen for The Academy for Chief Executive all chairs are qualified High Performance coaches and used to mentoring CEOs and senior managers on a 1-2-1 basis for personal performance.

The Art of Responsibility

Would you answer yes to the following when asked about your senior team?

  • Are your leaders suffering from a crisis of busyness?
  • Do you want to create new possibilities for your business?
  • Could you benefit from an extra 2 hours a day?

If you answered yes to one or all of these points, then our coaching programme is definitely for you and will significantly improve the performance of your senior managers.

What we do is to show you up to 12 of the best applicants performing tasks related to the job, so you can see what they can do rather than listen to them telling you!
