The Real Person
The real person not the rehearsed best behaviour (candidates can’t keep up an act for a full day like they can at an interview)
We understand that changing your recruitment process can be challenging and, in some cases, a daunting prospect. We’ve detailed below some of the reasons for using the Untapped Potential process and why it’s worthwhile doing something different.
Interviewing will only give you so much information and mainly whether a candidate is good at answering questions. Candidates are well practiced at interviews and with culture fit being vital to the success of your hire, it’s important to know who people are as well as what they can do.

The real person not the rehearsed best behaviour (candidates can’t keep up an act for a full day like they can at an interview)
Interaction with others (not just a 121 interview), demonstrating skills, working styles and the opportunity to test the personality & behaviours key to the role
Removal of the formality of an interview (at which most people are nervous) - you get to see a fuller picture of who they are
A glimpse of what they would be like to actually work with on a day to day basis by running scenario based exercises.
A big saving in terms of time and money as you see all the candidates in the same place at the same time doing the same things
A two-way process from both client and candidate perspective with both parties able to make an informed choice in terms of ``culture fit`` - ensuring a more reasoned selection.
Our process sees less risk of waving goodbye to top talent as you may from a 121 interview (some people are terrible at interviews)
Interviews can be one-sided with candidates being rejected based on nerves, incorrect answers to questions or not being given the opportunity to ask questions of their own.
Less risk of employing those who are great at being interviewed, but not good at the job and/or don’t match your company culture
Improved retention rates - our process gives an 82% success rate – whereas the national average is around 54% (see statistics below for more information)
Research tracked: 20,000 new hires | 46% of them failed within 18 months | 89% of those failures were for attitudinal reasons | Only 11% of the time for a lack of skill
