When Hiring Goes Wrong

The statistics around recruitment retention rates using traditional methods are staggering, especially when you take into account the cost involved when it goes wrong. It’s hard to calculate the actual cost of course because the hidden costs are impossible to measure. Loss in sales, training costs, time taken by individual employees…. The list goes on.
The stats are even more frightening when you take into consideration that 89% of the time hiring fails because of behavioural issues. I spoke to an MD recently who admitted:
“It’s rare I’ve had to fire an FD because he couldn’t add up”.
If that’s the case, what as a business, can you do to check if a person’s working style, attitude and behaviour is going to fit with your organisation? A 1:1 interview no matter how many times you do this will only give you so much information. The key is to see them interacting with others if you want to check their fit as well as their skillset.
If you’re sick of doing the same thing and getting the same result, then get in touch to find out more about how our process is disrupting the world of recruitment. Our process (currently adapted to work virtually) will save you time and money and will ensure you attract and retain the right people for your organisation.
What actions are you taking to ensure you test for culture fit as well as skillset?
