Woo Hoo We Did It…

by UP
Hi All,
On one of the hottest days of the year so far, Saturday, the Untapped Potential team took part in the Manchester 10k run. Peter, Sarah, Claire, Alastair, Paul K, Vicky and Paul N all took part, running their socks off for Rathbone, a national charity providing training to vulnerable 14 to 19 year olds. It is one of the biggest providers of work based learning and modern apprenticeships in the UK with 69 centres offering support through formal training programmes, work experience and detached youth engagement initiatives. A great cause!
For most of us our time was slower than we’d anticipated but to be fair to us, it was red hot and there was very little water available on the way round AND both Alastair and Paul N were carrying injuries and still ran. How dedicated is that!
Thank you so much to those who have already donated, we really really appreciate your support. For those who would still like to give the link to our just giving page is http://www.justgiving.com/ACE-Group18. So far we’ve raised £2535.
The table below shows our times, a big pat on the back guys!
| Peter | 1 hr 07 min |
| Paul K | 42 min |
| Alastair | 1 hr 03 min |
| Paul N | 1 hr 15 min |
| Claire | 1 hr 17 min |
| Vicky | 59 min |
| Sarah | 53 min |

Peter with his medal! Well done!
Even after a 10k run, the team still look great!
And if anyone feels like getting heat stroke and dehydrating next year the entries for the 2015 10k are open. Good luck if you choose to take part!
